This is a new feature for the Journal. In each issue we will review a series of American state archives and museums. In reviewing them, we will be both reporting on their nature and evaluating them by the standards for exemplary sites we are developing in our Project Épée . This feature will be edited by two editors who are new to our board, Jennifer Utter, a graduate in history of Pacific University and a Pacific University archivist who also works at INTEL, and Ann Wynne, Professor of History at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Ca. In this issue, Jennifer presents a survey of the state archives of Oregon and Washington.
If you represent a state archive or a museum with a website and would like your site to be reviewed in this feature, please first examine our Project Épée standards, then contact either Jennifer or Anne:
