Reading Body Changes Name
Truck body manufacturer Reading Body Works Inc. will now be known as Reading Truck Body Inc. In addition, the company has formed an alliance with Crest Truck Equipment, a network of Reading distributors located in the Mid-Atlantic region. Crest will now be called Reading Equipment & Distribution Inc. In turn, both renamed companies will operate collectively under the new name, The Reading Group.
In other news, the new president of The Reading Group is Dan Perlman. Perlman previously served as Reading’s vice president of manufacturing and has been with the company for 25 years. Also, Jack O’Donnell has been named chief operating officer of Reading Truck Body Inc. O’Donnell had been Reading’s executive vice president. Finally, Peter Hempenstall has been named vice president of sales.
