Roto-Rooter Announces Slight Decline In Revenues
Roto-Rooter Inc. announced that third-quarter revenues for the Plumbing and Drain Service segment grew 5.2 percent to $63.3 million from 2002’s third-quarter figure of $60.2 million. Net income was $1.9 million, 19 percent below last year’s third-quarter income of $2.4 million. Insurance and legal costs, along with investments in marketing and training, continue to negatively impact margins.
For the first nine months of 2003, company revenues totaled $230.1 million, compared to $235.3 million for the same period in 2002.
